We're a subscription box experience for sushi lovers. We provide everything you need to experience making all kinds of sushi at home. You'll get fish to slice, rice to season and cook, and all the essential supplies - including seaweed sheets, soy sauce, wasabi, a bamboo rolling mat and recipe booklet. Think of us like your favorite subscription meal kit such as Blue Apron or HelloFresh, except we specialize in sushi.

How does it work?

It's super easy. Simply sign up for a monthly subscription for 25-40% less than it would cost to eat out or have a sushi restaurant deliver in. Plus you pick up some enviable bragging rights as you'll learn how to actually make sushi. We fill up your monthly Sushify box with a selection of fish, rice, seaweed and other essential items you'll need to make sushi for you and your friends and family friends. We rotate your sushi selections every month and deliver is always free.

How much sushi can I make in every box?

Depending on the box you order, you'll make a lot of sushi. Our Handrolls kit makes up to 15 handrolls. We have other boxes that make even more sushi. For example, our Standard sushi kit makes 6 rolls and has recipes for other types of sushi every month. Our Mega sushi kit makes 10 rolls and other sushi and always includes an appetizer recipe. 

What does each meal kit contain?

We rotate the types of sushi you'll be making every month. So each month your box will contain at least 3-4 different types of fish and shellfish, short-grain rice, sushi vinegar, roasted sesame seeds, nori sheets, rice vinegar, and other ingredients.

Do I have to make my sushi right away or all at once?

Nope. Simply follow the instructions when you receive your box and store what you don't want to use right away for a later time. And if you only want to make half of the recipes now and save the rest for later, that's not a problem either.

Can I skip a delivery?

Of course. IOn our website go to the header or footer ad click on My Account. Log in and you can see your upcoming deliveries. You can skip any upcoming delivery free of charge. Just let us know at least five days before we ship if you're planning to skip a delivery. If you have any problems getting into your account, contact hello@sushify.com and we'll get you going.

Why do you rotate your sushi box selection each month?

We painstakingly curate each monthly rotation of sushi so you learn the basics of making sushi at home, and also level up your skills month by month and hone your sushi-making skills.

How do I prepare my Sushify offering for the month?

All Sushify meal kits will have step-by-step recipe booklets to guide you in making your sushi. Our Sushify community and chef-taught series on Instagram, Facebook and our website will also have helpful tips, tricks, photos and videos and help you take the mystery out of making sushi at home.

When will my Sushify box be delivered?

We deliver boxes once a month. The next box ETA is always listed at the top of our homepage. Simply order prior to the deadline and your box will be on its way. Any orders received after our ship date will automatically get into the next month's shipment. Most orders will be delivered between 9 AM and 8 PM. We send you tracking information when your box leaves our warehouse.

How should I store my Sushify ingredients and how long will they keep?

When your Sushify box arrives, open it as soon as possible. You'll find 1-2 smaller boxes inside - clearly labeled with instructions. Unpack the frozen box and get the contents into your freezer as soon as possible. It'll stay fresh for more than a month if kept frozen. The other box will have your rice, vinegar, soy sauce, and other essential sushi-making supplies. Most of these can be stored in your refrigerator or your cupboards accordingly until you're ready to make sushi.

When will you charge me for a subscription?

Your charge is processed every month right when you place an order. We will charge you for your next month box every 20-30 days until you cancel. You can cancel at anytime. Your account page on Sushify.com will provide you with upcoming shipment information. If you need to make changes to your subscription, we kindly ask that you make them five days prior to shipment.

Are you a sustainable company?

We try to be. We source organic vegetables and non-GMO ingredients where we can. We're partnering closely with our fish suppliers to ensure the fish is sustainable whenever possible. Most of our boxes are eco-friendly, recyclable, and compostable and we work to minimize the use of plastic to further our sustainability efforts. Admittedly, we still have more work to do in this area. Until we get to 100% post-recyclable materials, we are directing a fraction of our revenue to offset our carbon footprint and help scale emerging carbon removal technologies. We're constantly identifying opportunities towards sustainable substitutions and solutions.

Can I recycle my box?

Our boxes are made from recycled cardboard and are recyclable themselves. We use third-party delivery service like FedEx and UPS but unfortunately, they aren't able to transport back our boxes for us. This is why we make our boxes as sustainable as possible and use eco-friendly packaging wherever possible.

How are you improving your sustainability efforts?

As we grow, we will continue to explore new and innovative ways to source, pack, store, transport, and ship Sushify to you. Because our fish is shipped frozen, we use EPC inner packaging to keep transport temps really cold. While we search for better alternatives, we are offsetting carbon emissions via contributions to the Jarí Para Forest Conservation Project in the Amazon Rainforest. Do you deliver to me?

We currently deliver throughout the US, except for Alaska, Hawaii, and certain zip codes in some rare cases. Due to carrier limitations in some coastal areas of Massachusetts, we cannot currently deliver to Nantucket Island or Martha's Vineyard. 

Do you deliver to P.O. boxes?

Due to the perishable nature of our products as well as the limited receiving hours at USPS offices, we are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes. We suggest shipping to your home or to a friend or neighbor's address if needed.

How is the quality of the food maintained?  

We only use the best packaging materials with dry ice to ensure the freshness of the product is maintained until midnight of the day of delivery. Please be sure to open your delivery right away and follow the directions for storing your Sushify ingredients properly and promptly. 

Some ingredients were not frozen when delivered. Can I still eat it?

Only a small part of your Sushify delivery will be shipped frozen. If you receive items that are expected to be frozen, but have thawed in transit then it may not be safe to consume these items. Contact us at hello@sushify.com and let us know about your delivery. During warmer weather, we also include nontoxic, eco-friendly ice packs and dry ice inside the boxes to keep items fresh. Remember, weather in some regions can get extreme, so plan to take your box inside shortly after delivery when temperatures are above freezing or particularly warm. 

Where can I see nutritional information?

You can find the nutritional information on the back of the package. If it's not listed, or you would like to see the nutritional label before you make your purchase, please email us at hello@sushify.com

Do you have any gluten-free or vegan options?

In some months, Sushify boxes may sometimes feature vegetarian or gluten-free offerings. However, because we rotate our selection for our subscribers, we cannot guarantee that all of our ingredients are vegan or gluten-free even though many ingredients will be. 

I'm allergic to...?

Some of our products contain egg, soy, milk, wheat, fish, shellfish, sesame and peanuts. We do our best to prevent cross-contamination, we package in a facility where these allergens might be processed. As a result, we do not recommend our products to anyone with severe allergies.

How do I place my order? How long will it take to get to me?

Just head to our homepage and click any Order Now button. Once you check out you'll receive a welcome email detailing what need to know about your subscription including when to expect your order. We process charges up to three weeks before your box ships. You'll also receive a credit card charge confirmation and soon after, your tracking number. Who delivers the package and how can I track it?

We use third-party shipping providers such as FedEx or UPS to bring your Sushify box to your door. You can track it with the number given in the shipping confirmation email that you will receive the night before your box is scheduled to be delivered. You do not need to sign for your box. The driver will generally ring the doorbell and then leave the box at your doorstep.

Can I choose what's in my box?

Right now, no. But we are working to allow customization of your Sushify box and will be notifying all our subscribers when we're ready to roll out this feature. 

Can I skip a subscription delivery or pause my subscription?

If you’re traveling or need to take a month off, or for any reason for that matter, it’s easy to skip future orders. Simply log into your Sushify account to manage your subscription and select Skip Order. You can also pause your subscription.

How can I cancel a subscription? 

Canceling is easy. You can log into your account and cancel your subscription at any time with no penalty or fees. Simply log into your account and click Manage Subscriptions. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Cancel button. You can also skip your box or pause your box for up to six months if you are traveling or just need a break. Please note that canceling a subscription will prevent any further charges from being made to your account and any further orders from being processed. This action will not cancel an order that has already been processed. 

Do you sell gift cards or gift boxes?

We've temporarily paused our gift program while we upgrade our platform.
